The Bible is clear that God's ways are not man's ways, and that God specializes in confounding the wise. In what some have called the worst financial climate since the Great Depression, there is a company in Raleigh, North Carolina that is thriving in assisting churches to realize their vision to continue to grow and expand their ministries in a new sanctuary or ministry facility.
This includes church plants that are trying to get into their very first building, or large churches that have outgrown their present facility. From New York to California, from the South to the Midwest, Arks is financing, designing and building churches. At the Dream Center in LA, Arks is overseeing a 20 million dollar renovation of the ministry facility which is a former hospital.
Perhaps the most unique of all the services Arks provides is their Build To Ministry (BTM) program. This is a turn-key service that includes everything from financing to construction. Through the assistance of private funding partners who have made available over $100 million dollars in 2009, Arks is able to provide generous underwriting terms and provide up to 90% financing of a project.
There are the four diagnostic questions that Arks asks that assist in evaluating when a church is ready to move forward with their project:
- Have you been together as a congregation for at least three years?
- Is your annual income at least $150,000?
- Do you own your own property?
- Do you presently have debt?
