What Is A Capital Campaign?
Capital Campaigns are NOT a new concept. The first Capital Campaign is recorded in Exodus 25 when the Lord spoke to Moses telling him to explain to the people that a special offering was to be taken to construct the tabernacle, a sanctuary in which God's presence could dwell.
The second Capital Campaign found in the scriptures is when King David implemented a fundraising program for the construction of the first
David called the congregation together to explain that as the leader he had been the first to give gifts of gold, silver, brass, iron, wood, stones and marble to build the new house of God. Immediately, other leaders stepped up and willingly made commitments.
A good Capital Campaign will take the vision and plans of the leader and help provide the financial resources to accomplish the task. The Stewardship Group has partnered with two national Capital Campaign groups that specialize in assisting churches. Each campaign is customized to that particular project and church family. It starts with an invitation to make a presentation to the church leadership of the services the companies provide to lead the church through a campaign of raising funds to accomplish ministry in their community.
If you have a dream and a plan, but need resources to purchase land, build a building, or pay off debt, consider a Capital Campaign. If you want to raise 1 to 1.8 times your annual income over a three year period through an organized Capital Campaign program, please contact the Stewardship Group. You can call, e-mail or fill out forms that will provide information to connect you with one of our strategic partners for Apostolic churches.
